Neck Pain/Whiplash

Neck pain may be caused by injury, overuse, birth defect, or insufficient strength. Whiplash occurs when the neck’s discs, ligaments, muscles, and/or nerve roots are damaged during injury. Whiplash may also be referred to as a neck sprain or strain. If you suffer from one or more of the following symptoms, Dr. Helm and our specialists can offer treatment to relieve your pain.

  • Headaches
  • Stiffness in the neck
  • Pain in the neck
  • Pain in the shoulder, arm, hand
  • Numbness
  • Dizziness
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Blurred vision
  • Ringing ears
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Sleep problems

With an exam and interventional techniques, we can determine if your neck pain is related to whiplash. Medications, physical therapy, and/or other treatments may be recommended. PCPMC Physical Therapy Program is one of the few programs in the country to use the Multiple Cervical Unit, a modality that is proven to be effective in the treatment of whiplash.

At Pacific Coast Pain Management Center, Dr. Helm, and associates will use contemporary techniques to diagnose and treat your pain. If you live in the Laguna Hills or greater Orange County area, call today to schedule your consultation with one of our specialists.
